Two PW484-50 modules can be installed in one node for dual-redundant power configuration to eliminate single point power failure. Engineer Notes
- PW484-50 accepts 24VDC input, different from PW481 (100-120VAC) and PW482 (220-240VAC). Must select correct model according to site incoming power.
- Dual redundant configuration: install two PW484-50 in the same FIO node. Automatic seamless switchover when one power module fails, no impact on control and I/O acquisition.
- Supports hot swap. Faulty PW484-50 can be pulled out and replaced while the DCS node remains online.
- Check front panel LED indicators for power status, fault alarm and redundancy health during commissioning and routine maintenance.
- Recommended service life for PW484 series power modules is 8 years; periodic preventive replacement is required for long-term plant operation.
- Proper grounding of the FIO node rack is required to reduce noise interference and improve power stability.
- Only used for CENTUM VP FIO/N-IO node; not compatible with legacy CS3000 DCS hardware.
