Description
Product Overview
Bently Nevada 330130-080-01-CN is an 8-meter armored coaxial extension cable built for the 3300 XL 8mm eddy current proximity transducer system. It connects the 8mm proximity probe to the matching Proximitor preamplifier, transmitting high-frequency gap, vibration and axial position signals to 3500 series machinery monitoring racks. Stainless steel armor provides mechanical protection for harsh plant environments on steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, generators and other critical rotating assets. The CN suffix includes region-compliant certification documentation. OEM production has ended; available stock consists of surplus or refurbished tested replacement units for turbomachinery protection and condition monitoring systems.

Engineer Notes
- This cable works exclusively with standard 3300 XL 8mm probe assemblies. Sum of probe length plus extension cable length must match the factory-calibrated total length of the paired Proximitor sensor. Mismatched total length alters scale factor and creates measurement errors or false machine alarms.
- ClickLoc connectors are precision coaxial components. Do not over-twist, pull or contaminate contact surfaces during installation. Damaged connectors lead to intermittent gap readings.
- Route armored cable separately from high-current AC power and relay wiring. Electrical interference distorts high-frequency eddy current signals and degrades transducer linearity.
- Observe the minimum cable bend radius. Sharp bends deform internal coaxial structure and change capacitance, invalidating factory transducer calibration.
- Stainless steel armor resists abrasion and mechanical impact, but secure cable supports are still required to reduce vibration fatigue at connector junctions.
- Apply ESD controls while handling. Inspect connector seals before installation. After replacement, perform gap calibration and verify vibration and position readings on the monitoring rack.
Pre-Shipment Test Protocol
- Visual inspection: Check FEP insulation, stainless steel armor, ClickLoc connectors for cuts, dents, corrosion or deformed contact pins.
- Continuity test: Verify center conductor continuity and confirm no short circuit between center conductor and shield.
- Capacitance measurement: Confirm total cable capacitance stays within factory tolerance band.
- Insulation resistance test: Validate high insulation resistance between inner conductor and shield.
- Bench functional test: Pair cable with known-good 3300XL 8mm probe and matched Proximitor, check gap response and linearity across measurement range.
- Save test logs and photos for QA records.
Buyer FAQ
Q: Can I swap 330130-080-01-CN with other length 3300XL extension cables? A: Connector style is identical, but total transducer assembly length changes Proximitor calibration. Confirm full probe + extension length before cutover.
Q: Is this cable compatible with 3300 XL NSv probe systems? A: No. This is standard 3300XL 8mm armored cable, not NSv series. Do not mix standard XL and NSv components.
Q: What does the 01 suffix mean? A: 01 denotes armored cable construction with standard connectors; CN suffix provides regional certification documentation.
Q: Are proximity probe or Proximitor sensor included? A: Only the 8m armored extension cable is supplied. Probe and Proximitor sold separately unless noted on your quote.
