Description
Product Overview
Bently Nevada 330104-00-22-10-02-05 is a 3300 XL 8mm eddy current proximity probe with stainless steel armored cable and M10×1 mounting thread. It forms the sensing element of the 3300 XL 8mm transducer system, measuring shaft radial vibration, axial position and keyphasor speed signals for 3500 monitoring racks. This probe outputs high-frequency eddy current signals proportional to the gap between probe tip and rotating metal target. The armored cable resists abrasion and mechanical strain for turbine, centrifugal compressor, generator and other high-speed rotating equipment. The suffix 05 denotes CN certification package. OEM production has ended; available stock consists of surplus or refurbished tested replacement units for turbomachinery protection and condition monitoring systems.

Engineer Notes
- This probe must pair with standard 3300 XL 8mm extension cable and matching 3300XL Proximitor sensor. Sum of probe cable length plus extension cable length must match the total calibrated length of the Proximitor. Mismatched total length alters scale factor and causes measurement drift or false machine alarms.
- M10×1 threaded body requires careful torque control during installation. Over-tightening can crack the probe housing and damage internal sensing coil.
- ClickLoc connectors are precision components. Do not twist, pull or contaminate contact surfaces. Damaged connectors produce intermittent gap readings and unstable vibration signals.
- Route armored probe cable separately from high-current AC power and relay wiring. Electrical noise disturbs eddy current signals and degrades transducer linearity.
- Maintain the minimum cable bend radius. Sharp bends deform internal triaxial layers and change capacitance, invalidating factory calibration.
- Apply ESD controls while handling. Inspect probe tip, armor and connector before installation. After replacement, set mechanical gap and validate full transducer linearity before returning machinery to service.
Pre-Shipment Test Protocol
- Visual inspection: Check probe tip, threaded body, stainless steel armor and ClickLoc connector for cracks, dents, corrosion or deformed pins.
- DC resistance test: Verify probe coil resistance falls within factory tolerance range.
- Insulation resistance test: Confirm high insulation resistance between inner conductor and shield layers.
- Bench linearity test: Mount probe on gap fixture, move steel target across full linear range and confirm voltage output matches scale factor.
- Fault simulation: Disconnect probe connector; confirm paired Proximitor triggers fault state.
- Save test logs and photos for QA records.
Buyer FAQ
Q: Can I use this probe with 3300 XL NSv Proximitor? A: No. This is standard 3300XL 8mm probe. NSv transducers require NSv series probes and Proximitors. Do not mix component families.
Q: What does suffix 05 mean? A: 05 indicates CN regional certification documentation included.
Q: What target material is required for calibrated scale factor? A: Factory calibration uses AISI 4140 steel target. Other materials will shift the scale factor.
Q: Are extension cable and Proximitor included? A: Only the armored proximity probe is supplied. Extension cable and Proximitor sold separately unless noted on your quote.
