Description
Product Overview
Bently Nevada 330930-065-01-00 is a 6.5-meter coaxial extension cable built for the 3300 XL NSv eddy current proximity transducer system. It links the proximity probe to the Proximitor sensor, transmitting high-frequency shaft vibration, position and gap signals to the 3500 machinery monitoring rack. This cable maintains consistent capacitance and impedance for accurate non-contact shaft measurement on steam turbines, compressors, generators and rotating equipment. OEM production has ended; available stock consists of surplus or refurbished tested replacement units for machinery protection and condition monitoring systems.

Engineer Notes
- This cable must be matched with 3300 XL NSv proximity probe and compatible Proximitor sensor. Total transducer system length (probe + extension cable) must match the Proximitor calibration setting.
- Microdot connectors are precision components. Avoid twisting, pulling or contaminating connector pins during installation. Damaged connectors create intermittent gap readings and false vibration alarms.
- Route the armored cable separately from high-current power cables. Electrical noise can distort the high-frequency eddy current signal and degrade measurement linearity.
- Maintain minimum bend radius during routing. Sharp bends crush internal coaxial structure and alter capacitance, shifting probe gap calibration.
- Armoring provides mechanical protection but does not substitute for conduit in high-abrasion areas. Secure cable with proper clamps to reduce vibration fatigue at connector junctions.
- Apply ESD controls while handling. Inspect connector sealing surfaces before installation. After replacement, perform gap calibration and verify vibration readings on the monitoring rack.
Pre-Shipment Test Protocol
- Visual inspection: Check cable jacket, stainless steel armor and Microdot connectors for cuts, dents, corrosion or deformed pin seats.
- Continuity test: Verify center conductor continuity and check for short circuit between center conductor and shield.
- Capacitance measurement: Confirm total cable capacitance falls within factory tolerance band.
- Insulation resistance test: Verify high resistance between inner conductor and shield.
- Bench system test: Pair cable with known-good probe and Proximitor, check gap response and linearity across measurement range.
- Save test logs and photos for QA records.
Buyer FAQ
Q: Can I swap 330930-065-01-00 with other length 3300XL extension cables? A: Physical connector is identical, but total system length changes Proximitor calibration. Confirm full transducer assembly length before cutover.
Q: Is this cable compatible with standard 3300XL (non-NSv) probe systems? A: No. This cable is designed for 3300 XL NSv series. Do not mix NSv and standard 3300XL components.
Q: Is this new original Bently Nevada factory stock? A: OEM production has stopped. Available units are surplus or fully refurbished tested stock. We offer a 12-month warranty on tested units.
Q: Are proximity probe or Proximitor sensor included? A: Only the 6.5m extension cable is supplied. Probe and Proximitor sold separately unless noted on your quote.
