Product Overview

The ABB BRC300 is a Harmony Bridge Controller designed for the ABB Symphony Enterprise Management and Control System. It interfaces with Harmony I/O and S800 I/O systems, processes field input and control data, executes control algorithms, and sends control signals to process-level equipment.

Powered by a 32-bit Motorola ColdFire 5407 processor running at 160 MHz, the BRC300 provides memory resources for control logic and process data. It supports function-code and C programming and communicates with other Harmony rack controllers through the Controlway network.

The controller also supports one-for-one redundant configurations to improve system availability. Compatibility with the INFI 90 OPEN system allows it to support applicable legacy process control installations, making it useful for maintenance, replacement, and spare-parts inventory in existing industrial automation systems.
