The Emerson 5X00121G01 is an 8-channel RTD personality module built for the Ovation distributed control system. It pairs exclusively with the 5X00119G01 electronics base board and cannot operate independently. This personality card processes resistance signals from RTD sensors and converts readings to digital temperature data for the Ovation controller. OEM manufacturing has ended; stock is supplied as surplus or refurbished replacement units for power generation, pulp and paper, and boiler temperature monitoring racks.

- This personality module must be matched with the 5X00119G01 electronics module. Mismatched base and personality hardware will prevent proper channel operation.
- Supports 2, 3, or 4-wire RTD connections. 4-wire wiring delivers best accuracy for long field runs and high ambient temperature variation.
- Front panel LEDs indicate channel fault, open sensor circuit, short circuit and module status. Open RTD wiring is the most common field failure for this card.
- Run shielded twisted pair cable for all RTD field wiring. Separate sensor cables from high voltage motor or power lines to reduce noise drift on temperature readings.
- Apply ESD controls when handling. Remove rack power before installing or removing the module. Update point database sensor type and wiring configuration after replacement.
- This variant is not built for CE marked Ovation system installations. Confirm system compliance requirements before ordering.
