The Emerson 5X00063G01 is the passive personality module for the Ovation HART analog output assembly. It must pair with the 5X00062G01 electronics module to form a complete 8-channel 4–20mA HART analog output unit. This personality board carries channel fusing and field-side passive circuitry for each loop, supporting HART pass-through for smart valve positioners and modulating actuators. OEM production has ended; available stock consists of surplus or refurbished tested replacement personality cards for power generation, boiler control and pulp & paper Ovation DCS racks.

Engineer Notes
- This personality card cannot operate alone. It is only functional when mated with 5X00062G01 electronics module. Mismatched pairs will prevent HART and analog output operation.
- Each channel includes a replaceable fuse on this personality board. Blown fuses are a common field fault caused by shorted field wiring; always trace loop shorts before fuse replacement.
- HART communication runs over the 4–20mA control loop. Use shielded twisted pair wiring, separate from high-current power cables to avoid noise interfering with analog and HART signals.
- The assembly requires external 24VDC auxiliary field supply for the 4–20mA loops. The personality module does not generate loop power.
- Apply ESD controls while handling. De-energize rack power before separating or mating personality and electronics modules. After replacement, inspect fuses, perform channel calibration and verify HART communications for all 8 loops.
- Front panel status LEDs are located on the 5X00062G01 electronics module, not this personality card.
