- Configure the tooth-count parameter in the Ovation point database to match the rotating machine gear profile. Wrong tooth count leads to incorrect RPM readings.
- Follow ESD controls during service. Remove rack power before inserting or extracting the module.
- Use shielded twisted pair wiring for speed sensor cables. Separate these cables from high-current power wiring to reduce electrical noise interference.
